🎡 Welcome to the Humboldt County Fair Schedule of Events! 🎠
Get ready for a week packed with fun, tradition, and excitement! From live music and thrilling rides to livestock shows, contests, and classic fair food—there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Check out the daily schedule below so you don’t miss a moment of the action at the 129th Humboldt County Fair!

The Day Before the Fair

Fine Arts and Floral Gala

5:30 pm in the Art and Floral Buildings

Start the Fair and enjoy live music, wine, hors d’oeuvres, and an early tour of the Fine Arts and Floriculture entries on display for the 129th Annual Humboldt County Fair!

 

$20 entry donation includes two wine tickets and the proceeds will go towards funding special awards for the entries in floriculture and fine arts.

The First Day of the Fair

Gates open at Noon

Exhibit Halls, Carnival, and Midway all open

  • Children's Day! Join us for a surplus of children's activities in the grandstands this day to celebrate the opening of the 2025 Humboldt County Fair with free admission for all kids ages 12 years and under!
     

  • The first day of the Open Livestock Show!
     

  • Live-Judged Apple Pie Contest in Belotti Hall at 2:00pm - entries are accepted until 12:00pm the day of with a pie (or two) in hand! You can register with ShoWorks early to make arrival that much easier. Check out the Competitive Exhibits page to learn more.
     

  • The Humboldt County Office of Elections is unveiling their new "I Voted" stickers that won their recent county-wide competition. Join us for the unveiling in Belotti Hall at 4:00pm!
     

  • Live and thrilling performances throughout the day by the enchanting Bella Gantt, an archer that is masterful with aerobatic feats using her feet to shoot while blindfolded!
     

  • Be amazed as mentalists, The Perceptives cause you to question what you know about reality as they use your own five senses against you in mind-altering illusions on our Midway with multiple shows a day!
     

  • Watch in awe as Raptor Shows provides stellar examples of natures flying predators and offer knowledge and insight into these majestic creatures throughout the day.
     

  • Enjoy nostalgic and harmonious ambiance with The Banjo Man strolling the Midway and beyond and he brings a joyful and delightful tune to the Humboldt County Fair during your visit.

The Second Day of the Fair

Gates open at Noon

Exhibit Halls, Carnival, and Midway all open

  • We are delighted to have the Jaripeo Ranchero in the grandstands! This is a live professional bull-riding event with live commentators, local ballet folkorico, entertainment for kids in between events, live food, and a special VIP area.
     

  • The last day of the Open Livestock Show!
     

  • Join us in Friendship Square for a live demonstration by Blue Ox Millworks! Blue Ox's custom woodworking epitomizes the quality and longevity of the previous century’s craftsmen, and will last far into the new century, whether  custom-made interior and exterior moldings, balusters and columns, custom wood windows, wood doors, redwood gutter, corbels, gable decorations, any Victorian gingerbread or Victorian reproductions.

Dark Days

August 18 - Dark Day

 

The Fair will be closed to the public. Youth Livestock Exhibitors will be allowed on the grounds to begin decorating assigned pens no sooner than 4:00 pm.​

 

August 19 - Dark Day

 

​​The Fair will be closed to the public. Youth Livestock weigh-in and animal pen-ins will be happening this day, see the Livestock Schedule for more details.

The Third Day of the Fair

Gates open at Noon

Exhibit Halls, Carnival, and Midway all open

  • On Wednesday Admissions are free for all!
     

  • We're making the fairgrounds more inclusive with Sensory Day!
    From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, we'll reduce loud music and speaker noise to create a calmer environment for those who are sensitive to sound. Where possible, interior lights will also be dimmed to offer a more comfortable experience for everyone.

     

  • The first day of the Youth Livestock Show!
     

  • Live and thrilling performances throughout the day by the enchanting Bella Gantt, an archer that is masterful with aerobatic feats using her feet to shoot while blindfolded!
     

  • Be amazed as mentalists, The Perceptives cause you to question what you know about reality as they use your own five senses against you in mind-altering illusions on our Midway with multiple shows a day!

The Fourth Day of the Fair

Gates open at Noon

Grandstands, Exhibit Halls, Carnival, and Midway all open

  • On Thursday, Veterans and their family members are offered free admission with military ID or official uniform. 
     

  • We are bringing inclusivity to the fairgrounds with Sensory Day, where from gates open at 12:00pm to 3:00pm, where noise from music and speakers will be limited to be inclusive of members of our community who may be more sensitive. We will also dim interior lights when possible for inclusivity.
